ABOUT HAMPTON LAW FIRM
Real People. Real Life. Real Law.
Hampton Law Firm is built on the belief that people deserve more than legal documents, complicated explanations, and a closed office door. They deserve preparation, honest communication, practical guidance, and a legal team that remembers there is a real person behind every file.
Legal problems rarely stay confined to a courthouse. They affect families, homes, children, property, finances, businesses, and the way people sleep at night. Our team understands that because we have lived real lives, raised families, experienced loss, survived unexpected chapters, started over, worked under pressure, and learned how to keep moving when life did not go according to plan.
We are professional, but we are not polished into people you cannot talk to. We take our work seriously without pretending that any of us has lived a perfectly organized or uncomplicated life.
We bring different backgrounds, experiences, personalities, and strengths to Hampton Law Firm. Together, we work to make sure our clients are heard, their matters are prepared, and they understand what happens next.
MEET OUR TEAM
JUDITH L. HAMPTON
ATTORNEY, BUSINESS OWNER, AND MOTHER OF THREE
Judith L. Hampton is a practicing attorney, public defender, business owner, and single mother raising three children. She is also someone who cannot seem to stop working, improving, planning, creating, or adding another project to a list that was already too long.
Judith usually has more ideas than time, more projects than hands, and at least one new plan before the last one is finished. She is constantly looking for ways to make Hampton Law Firm more useful, accessible, organized, and responsive to the people who trust it.
She understands that legal problems do not arrive at convenient times. They often appear when someone is already overwhelmed,
frightened, grieving, embarrassed, financially strained, or trying to hold a family together.
Judith does not practice law from a pedestal. She believes that people deserve to understand what is happening and why it matters. She also believes that no person should be reduced to the worst accusation, hardest season, biggest mistake, or most complicated chapter of life.
Her approach combines preparation with perspective. She knows the law matters, but she also knows that clients need an attorney who can see the human being standing behind the paperwork.
Judith is direct, determined, curious, and almost always working on something. If she ever announces that she has run out of ideas, the staff will know it is time to check on her.
TAMMY WILLIAMS
LEGAL ASSISTANT AND FORMER MARINE
Tammy Williams is a former United States Marine with approximately thirty years of experience working as a legal assistant.
That combination tells you almost everything you need to know: Tammy is disciplined, experienced, dependable, direct, and not easily rattled.
After three decades in the legal field, Tammy understands that good legal work depends on more than what happens in the courtroom. It requires organization, accurate documents, careful follow-through, attention to detail, and someone who knows what needs to happen next.
She has spent years helping attorneys and clients navigate legal processes that can feel confusing, stressful, and intimidating. When a matter becomes complicated, Tammy brings the kind of calm that comes from having handled complicated things before.
Tammy is loyal, practical, and protective of the work. She believes things should be done correctly, deadlines should be respected, and instructions are generally given for a reason.
She is a former Marine. She has thirty years of legal experience. And, as anyone in the office will tell you, Tammy does not play.
STACIE HART
TITLE ABSTRACTOR, DEVOTED MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER, AND THE HEART BEHIND THE RECORDS
Stacie Hart is a title abstractor who understands that the history of a piece of property is often buried inside decades of deeds, mortgages, successions, liens, legal descriptions, and courthouse records.
Her work requires patience, accuracy, curiosity, and the ability to recognize when one small detail does not fit. She helps trace ownership, identify recorded title issues, and gather the information needed to understand what the public records actually show.
But title work is only one part of Stacie’s story.
Stacie lost her husband while her daughters were still very young. She carried an unimaginable loss while dedicating her life to raising her girls. Today, that same love extends to her grandchildren, who are among the greatest joys of her life.
The strength it took to continue raising her family after such a loss is reflected in the quiet steadiness she brings to everything she does. She understands that families carry histories that may never appear in a legal document.
Stacie also has more Jesus in her heart than almost anyone we know. Her faith is not something she reserves for easy days or Sunday mornings. It shows in her patience, kindness, grace, loyalty, and the way she treats people when they are worried, confused, grieving, or carrying more than they say out loud.
Title work tells us what the records say. Stacie reminds us to care about the people those records affect.
NANNETTE SHOEMAKER
RECEPTIONIST, FORMER TEXAS BEAUTY QUEEN, SINGER, AND KEEPER OF THE BEST STORIES
Nannette Shoemaker is usually one of the first people you will encounter at Hampton Law Firm, and she brings enough warmth, personality, and life experience to make almost anyone feel comfortable.
Nannette is a former Texas beauty queen who has sung with Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. As though that were not enough for one biography, she was also once married to one of Arkansas’s most wanted fugitives.
In other words, Nannette has stories.
Her life has included enough unexpected turns to prove that reality is usually more interesting than fiction. It has also given her a deep understanding that people are rarely as simple as a rumor, headline, court filing, or single chapter of their past.
Nannette knows how to talk to people, how to listen, and how to bring a little humor into a difficult day without making light of what someone is experiencing. She is welcoming without being fake, memorable without trying too hard, and almost certainly has a better story than the rest of us.
If your life has taken a turn you never expected, Nannette is unlikely to be shocked. She may even be the person who makes you feel a little less alone while you figure out what comes next.
KYLEE PERODEAU
VIRTUAL ASSISTANT, NEW MOM, AND THE HEART BEHIND THE SCREEN
Kylee Perodeau is Hampton Law Firm’s virtual assistant. She helps manage online inquiries, intake forms, support requests, scheduling information, follow-up communications, and the many details required to move information from the client to the correct person on our team.
Kylee is also a new mom, which means she is currently learning how to manage work, motherhood, interrupted sleep, strong emotions, and approximately twelve things requiring attention at the same time.
She has a big heart and sometimes wears it close to the surface. That is not a weakness in a job centered around people who may be frightened, grieving, frustrated, or overwhelmed. It means she cares about the person on the other side of the message.
Kylee brings warmth, personality, persistence, and just enough attitude to keep things moving when the rest of us become distracted.
If she asks you to complete an intake form, submit a Current Client Support Request, upload a document, or provide additional information, it is not busywork. She is helping gather what the team needs to review the request, route it properly, and provide a meaningful next step.
Kylee may be a new mom, but she is not new to handling chaos.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
We do not believe professionalism requires pretending to be perfect.
Our team includes a constantly working attorney and single mother, a former Marine who does not play, a title abstractor whose faith and love for her family guide everything she does, a former Texas beauty queen with stories that could fill a book, and a new mother learning to balance a full heart with a full schedule.
We have experienced responsibility, pressure, motherhood, grief, reinvention, difficult chapters, unexpected turns, faith, humor, and the ordinary chaos of real life.
Those experiences do not replace legal knowledge or careful preparation. They shape the way we use them.
We ask questions. We listen. We explain. We look for the detail someone else may have missed. We work to make complicated legal processes easier to understand without pretending that every problem has a simple answer.
Our clients choose Hampton Law Firm because we bring both preparation and perspective—the kind that comes from studying the law, practicing the law, and living enough life to understand why people need help in the first place.
We are real people doing serious work for people whose lives have suddenly become legal.
That is Hampton Law Firm.
